Voting Assembly – Jan. 24, 9:45am

St. John semi-annual voting assembly meeting will be held on Sunday, January 24, at 9:45am between worship services.  Membership will have the option of attending this meeting in the sanctuary or online.  If attending in-person, the same masking and social distancing protocol will be followed in the sanctuary as with all worship services.  If attending online, a link to the online meeting room as well as the agenda has been provided in an email.  One of the items on the agenda will be a congregational vote on the Convention Referendum coming from synod.  Information on this matter has been provided in the President’s letter (available online at www.lcms.org/delay-vote-letter) and in a response to frequently asked questions (www.lcms.org/delay-vote-faqs).

Home Sunday School for Winter/Spring Is Ready

This home-based curriculum is “new and improved”, easier to use, and parent-friendly. You can find it on the new Faith Formation Resource web page under “Ministry @ Home”, or click here. There are two curriculums; one for families with younger kids titled “Hey O!” and one for preteens through adults using “The Bible Project” resources. Simple instructions are included with both. These will also be sent out and available on the west entrance table. To ensure you get your curriculum just register at https://forms.gle/y1kSU9GVFwVgvhFD6

Another Worship Option

Would you, or someone you know, benefit from an Sunday morning worship service on television?  KLKN (Channel 8) broadcasts “Main Street Living” on Sunday mornings at 10am.  At 10am there is a past episode from the This Is The Life television show produced by The Lutheran Hour.  At 10:30am there is a brief worship service featuring LCMS pastors from around the Midwest.  This is a useful alternative for those without computers or computer skills.

Bible Study Reminder

Sunday morning Pastors’ Lectionary Discussion class is in person in the fellowship hall AND livestreaming at 10:00 AM. No Bible Study on Jan. 24 due to Voting Assembly.

Use of Masks when on Campus

When you come to the church office, enter through the west entrance, sign in in the lobby, and then put on a face covering as you enter into the building.  This is to be done by all who come into the church office and any other public areas of the facility for the safety of staff and students.

New On-line Bible Class – Thursdays at Noon
