Questions for This Weekend (When applicable)
Below are some devotional questions that go with the message for this Sunday.  You are encouraged to read them before, during, or after the message.  They could be for personal reflection, but could also be used for discussion in groups.

Sermon text: John 8:31-36; Sermon title: Freed from What?

  1. Is there something in your life right now that has made you feel like you do not have any freedom, making you feel like a captive?  What is it?
  2. What in your past had made you feel like you are a captive, like it is your master and you are its slave?
  3. Jesus speaks of being “free indeed” in this text.  What does that freedom look and/or feel like?

Commemoration of the Faithful Departed – Nov. 6/7

Revelation 7:9-17; 1 John 3:1-3; Matthew 5:1-12
