We are excited to have three familiar faces on board to write for the @StJLuthYouth blog each month! Allow me to introduce you to these awesome bloggers:  KRISTI – Writing about Life & Faith in Bolivia Hi! I’m Kristi Einspahr. I’m a junior in high school and right now I am studying abroad as an exchange student for the 2013-2014 year. I am living in Sucre, Bolivia (in South America for those of you who aren’t sure where Bolivia is :)) and it has already been a life changing experience during the 3 months that I’ve been here. In the United States, I live with my mom and dad while my older brother and sister are off at college. I’ve been a member of St. John’s congregation for as long as I can remember. I met some of my best friends in the 3 year old Sunday school and I attended school at St. John all the way from kindergarten with sweet Mrs. Fiala to eighth grade with the legendary and unforgettable Mrs. Obermueller. Calling all music buffs to St John! This coming Wednesday, October twenty third at seven o’clock Captive Free will be performing at St Johns! Even better, the event is free and open to the public so, bring a friend! That’s not your only chance to see good live Christian music this month. Remedy Drive, a band high school students who attended National Youth Gathering will be very familiar with, is playing in Omaha three times this month still: Sunday, October 27 – Christ Community Church @ 9:00 {FREE show}  –  Tuesday, October 29 – The Slowdown @ 7:00 {$10}  –  Thursday, October 29 – Spend Halloween night with Remedy Drive! They will be playing the 8:08 Halloween Show at Christ Community Church. The show starts at 8:08 and tickets are $5. On both Sunday and Thursday Unscene Patrol will be opening up for Remedy Drive an upstart Christian band with a very indie rock sound. On Tuesday night Remedy drive will be headlining with Mark Harvat of Flight Metaphor and Unscene Patrol opening.
