Food Handling and Food Policies

Our kitchen is a great place! We participate in the CACFP – Child & Adult Care Food program, following all government and NAEYC guidelines for proper storage, preparing, and serving of food.  Breakfasts and snacks are prepared and served on-site, and lunches are prepared at St. John Lutheran School and delivered here to be served out of our kitchen.  Menus are posted by the sign-in computer and here on the website.

Parents of children with special food needs/allergies may visit with Mrs. Bimler to work out the best way to meet the child’s needs.  Storage is avaiable for special-needs foods (gluten-free) and beverages (rice milk, etc.) in the kitchen.  St. John School is able to provide gluten-free lunches.

We are a nut-free facility. (For the most part. 🙂 )
