About Us
“Being One in Spirit and Purpose”
Philippians 2:2
St. John Lutheran Church opened the Child Development Center to 39 children from our community, ages 3 years to 6th grade, in August of 1992. The Center operated out of Schuelke Dorm on the Concordia College campus until June 1997 when it moved to its present location at 20 Main.
The beautifully remodeled facility serves over 100 children ages 18 months through the 6th grade. The relocation of the Child Development Center in 1997 was a miracle made possible by many generous members who gave richly of time, talent and treasure in support of Christian care and education for our youngest.
The Child Development Center is a ministry of outreach that has shared the love of Jesus with hundreds of families from 5 surrounding counties. Programs include year-round care for toddlers, preschool and school age children.
The Child Development Center’s programs meet quality standards and is accredited by National Lutheran Schools and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
God’s calling for our congregation:
His Goal for UsĀ (This is our first destination on our journey toward His Vision for Us.)
We will offer the preferred Christian nurture ministry locally, emphasizing early childhood through college–impacting globally.
